I had the day off so I decided to play in some makeup. It's a green and goldish look inspired by my scarf.
Eyes: UDPP; HIP Crayon in Meticulous; HIP Pigments in Visionary(gold) and Rebel (green). I originally intended to just use Visionary in the inner corner and Rebel on the rest of the lid but didn't like how it looked so I covered the whole lid with Visionary; HIP Duo in Riotous ( the dark side in the outer corner and crease) ; Iman Shadow in Safari (outer corner and crease); Wet-n-Wild Shadow in cream (highlight); Victoria's Secret Liquid Liner in Blackout and NYX Liner in Black
Face & Lips: Bare Minerals Deepest Deep (Concealer); Valana Minerals Foundation in Amber Dream, Blazing Bronzer in Blazing Tan & Cheeky Cheek Pots in Cheeky Orchid; Milani Liner in Black Brown with Ulta Gloss in Shimmer
The verdict is in on the Rimmel Eye Glistners - I hate them. Ok maybe hate is the wrong word. I strongly dislike them. I tried to use them again and had the same problem. They're just too wet for me and I don't like how they make my brushes nasty. Good thing it was buy one get one free and I had a coupon. Off to the makeup graveyard they go which is unfortunate since the colors are so pretty.

June 11, 2008 at 10:42 PMHow do you like the Valana Minerals bronzer? Could you swatch it?
June 12, 2008 at 12:40 AMOkay, you are gorgeous! I've always wanted to try eyeshadow and you make it look easy. Your hair is GORGEOUS...another look i'm trying to duplicate!!!! I usually two strand twist thin, so I will try and jack this as well. This is my 1st time on your blog, but not my last. And just wanted to reaffirm what you should already know...Black women really are beautifull, and you are a prime example. Thanks for putting your fabulousness out there!!!!!
June 12, 2008 at 3:48 PM@ silvrlips - Thanks! Please tell me it too me 4 days to put this together. I had no idea that changing the layout meant starting from scratch!
@ nywele - Thank you!
@ twinkle twinkle - Sure I can do a swatch. I really like the bronzer. At first I was apprehensive since it was loose but after using it a few times it's really pretty and I like how light it is.
@ tmj707 - Thank you for the stopping by and for the kind words! I just got into eyeshadow earlier this year and now I'm addicted! 2 strand twists are my staple style. I always start out doing thin 2 strand twists and end up with medium or fat ones. lol
