I'm really feeling the dark and red lip colors for fall so I thought I showcase the ones I have.

From left to right Milani Lip Gloss in Sugar Sugar, Urban Decay XXX Shine Cooling Lip Gloss in Love Junkie, Sinful Colors Lip Gloss in Berry Charmed, MAC's Port Red Lipstick

Now on to the camera whoring...

Sinful Colors Berry Charmed.  This is a serious burgundy, very pretty.

Milani Lip Gloss in Sugar Sugar.  This is a really pretty shimmery brown

Urban Decay XXX Shine Cooling Lip Gloss in Love Junkie.  This looks a lot darker in the tube but it's a very actually very light in real life.  Since this is a "cooling lip gloss"  It tingles when you apply it and can feel like a thousand tiny pins stabbing your lips.  Well...that's what it felt like to me...

MAC's Port Red Lipstick

How about a combo of Port Red and Berry Charmed.  I really like this combo together.

Super Vampy Black Lips

I love fall!  I love the clothes, the weather, no more worrying about sweating your cuteness off as soon as you walk out the door and most importantly the colors.  I love the richness and darkness of the colors, oranges, burgundies, brown, red.  We've all seen the loveliness that is Cult of Cherry but how about adding black lips to your vamp palette.  I love some black nail polish but I'm not quite sure how I feel about black gloss.  The only folks I knew who wore black lips were goths railing against "the system" which were the nuns in my high school.

YSL is introducing Pur Black which was available pre-order and is now sold out.  Pur Black is being described as a sheer color so I guess it will be really good to layer with.

Lancome has their Color Fever Lip Gloss in Phia Black which when paired with the Color Fever Lipstick in Phia Red, inspired by the infamous Christian Louboutin red soles, isn't so bad.

So what say you?   Will you get your vamp on rocking the black or the combo black and red lip this fall?

Cult of Cherry!!

I have been looking forward to Cult of Cherry for months! I got the Tempting and Spiced Chocolate Quads; Plum du Bois blush and Cherry Blossum Lip Glass.  I also picked up Love Joy from Sonic Chic.  I have been wearing Cherry Blossom and Love Joy everyday and Spiced Chocolate is my new favorite brown. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase and this collection!  I may go back to pick up Liqueur.  I love the color but it didn't quite look right on me.  I think it was due to the fact that by the time I tried it on my lips were raw from trying on the other lippies...lol

The Search for the Super Top Coat

Over the last few months I have been on a mission to find a top coat that will not fail me and do what it says it will do...or at least do something. For about a year I was madly in love with Chi Ceramic Top Coat.

CHI Ceramic Nail Treatment Top Coat provides high gloss retention for shiny nails.

Product Benefits:
Patented long lasting wear formula
Silk for added shine and ease of application
Nano Silver kills bacteria and fungus
UV Protection to help against color fading and keep color fresh

This stuff was the business! Not only did my nails dry super fast but my manicure lasted easily for 5-6 days. But alas like all polishes it got all thick and nasty so I thinned it out with my trusty Super Nail Nail Polish Thinner. Apparently nail polish thinner is kyropnite to the Chi and it never worked the same again. So instead of getting another bottle I decided to see what else is out there.

I tried Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat is acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Its patented formula allows it to penetrate through the nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish which is guaranteed not to yellow. Seche Vite is unmatched as a top coat leaving the nail silky feeling, stronger, more durable, absolutely will not chip and creates the highest gloss of any product on the market today.

Lies all lies I tell you!! 2 hours after doing my nails they chipped, the next day I literally could peel off my manicure. When I say peel I mean the whole thing comes off is one shot. Maybe it was due to me not mastering the fine art of Seche Vite application…

Apply thickly, get a nice bead on the end of the brush, then set softly down on the first nail painted and watch how Seche Vite flows over the wet nail polish self levels and will not drag or streak the underlying manicure. It takes time to master the application and when perfected it is possible to apply in only three strokes...keep trying.

They lost me after set softly, are we still talking about nail polish? Who has time for all of that!! I will say this for Seche Vite it does dry extremely fast, like in seconds.

So now I am going to give Sally Hansen’s Diamond Strength Diamond Shine Base andTop Coat a shot.

Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes Mascara

I have been obsessed with Givenchy's Phenomen'Eye mascara since I saw it not too long ago.  The wand reminds me of spiked ball and chain and gives me visions of a dominatrix forcing lashes into fabulousness.

 What it is:

A revolutionary new mascara designed to grip at lashes starting at the roots.

What it does:
Givenchy Phenomen'eyes Mascara perfectly curls and separates lashes. It has a high-tech, patented round sphere at the tip of the precision wand that reaches every lash and adapts to all eye shapes. It's a Sephora exclusive.

What else you need to know:
The result? A beautifully fanned-out panoramic effect, holding the curve of your lashes perfectly in place.

It retails for $27 at Sephora.  Between wands that vibrate and now spiked balls I wonder what they will come up with next.

FOTD 8/10 & 8/111

I went to see the Starflash Collection and out of my list of what to get I only ended up with Bold & Brazen, which I love! I have mixed feelings about the first look. I like it but I felt Jesse's Girl Shadow wasn't dark enough for a crease color, I was expecting it to be darker. So...I redid it again today.

Hauling and Duping on a Budget

I'm supposed to be saving my money for the Cult of Cherry Collection but after watching fafinettex3's video about Jessie's Girl Cosmetics new eyeshadows the makeup junkie in me won and I did a little shopping.

Jessie's Girl Cosmetics have come out with Color My World shadows which remind me of MAC's Mineralized Eyeshadow Duos.

From top to bottom:
Volcanic, Earthquake, Evergreen

Used wet or dry, our four baked powders are dewy and feel similar to highly micronized pigments. Since minimal binders are used in the baking process versus pressing, baked powders have the lightness of a loose powder. Sponge tip applicator included.

Pretty good dupe don't you think for $4.99 vs. MAC's $17.50

Dry:

Wet:

The color payoff is amazing! The shadows are highly pigmented and go on smooth. I'm not quite sure how I feel about them wet. I was too lazy to mix up mixing medium so I used Fix+. The color was more vibrant but kinda difficult to spread. I'm not sure if my using Fix+ was the issue so I'll try it again with some actual mixing medium. Right now Jesse's Girl is running a special get all 4 shadows for $17.00 plus free shipping to any U.S. address.

I made a trip to my favorite T.J. Maxx and picked up some Lancome items...
Color Design Shadows in Topaz Temptation and Gold Enchantment. Retail $16.50 T.J. Maxx 5.99
Color Design Crayon Duo Defining and Sparkling Eye Pencil Duo in Sparkling Black and Sparkling Brown. Retail $28.00 T.J. Maxx 7.99

From Top to Bottom Topaz Temptation (which you can't see), Gold Enchantment, Sparkling Brown, Sparkling Black and the Highlight end to the pencil which is a grey with silver glitter.

I'm in love with the pencils! I've had a really hard time finding a soft pencil that goes on smooth and is easy to blend. This pencil is perfect! The highlight end of the pencil is for well...highlighting.

I think I see Pretty Committee field trip to T.J. Maxx in the future...

Also went to Tarjay and got a new bronzer. Loreal Glam Bronze Limited Edition bronzer in Sunkissed Copper.

Check out your Target beauty clearence sections. Certain Cover Girl eyeshadows are .78 and Bare Minerals Beyond the Basics is 34.98 instead of 49.99.

Gotta love a bargain!!!
