NOTD Famous Polish

Not really sure what color this is since there is none on the bottle.  I picked it up at my nail shop.  It's beautiful in the sun.

NOTD: Goldie Nail Lacquer

Not sure what this color is but what I am sure is that is pretty. Big 3 free glittery fun!!

NOTD China Glaze Watermelon Rind

China Glaze's Watermelon Rind I guess can be described as a bluish green.  Very pretty color.

FP101 Retraction ...

So yeah...Seche Vite isn't the spawn of satan and doesn't suck.  Y'all remember this post.  Well after a second and third and a forth chance I officially heart Seche! *bats eye lashes at bottle*  The issue wasn't the Seche or my not mastering the "technique" it was my base coat.  For me using any Sally Hansen base coat was setting me up for chiptastic nails the next day.  So after doing some serious research on the nail blogs I tried out CND Stickey and I am set!  My mani's no lie will last a good 5 days no chipping just some minor tip wear.

Check out the pics...

Day 1

I'm wearing Creative Nail Design in Hollywood

5 days later...The pic is kinda blurred but no chipping. Mind you I washed and twisted my hair and still had an intact manicure.

Now if I can only find a good base to use with Poshe...

NOTD OPI Chicago Champagne Toast

Chicago Champagne Toast is from the Holiday in Toyland Collection. Very pretty pinky color...which I don't care for in the winter. I'm not a really light shimmer color on my hands kinda gal. The only light colors I like for my manicures are creams. I knew this when I bought it so I'm trying to figure out what possessed me to wear it. This color is now strictly a pedi color. I will be rocking it come spring and summer. So it is off to the rest home until brighter days.

NOTD - OPI Baby It's "Coal" Outside

I love this color! It's like a blackish grey with blue/grey glitter. This is from the OPI Holiday in Toyland Collection.

NOTD Sally Hansen Glossy

I'm not sure how to describe this color, it's kind of a mix of black and burgundy but more on the black side. It's one of my favorite colors and I tend to wear it often.

I decided to try out Poshe Super Fast Drying Top Coat.  The good - it does dry ridiculously fast and the shine is unbelievable. The bad - it chipped the next day.  I'll use this a little longer and with a different polish before I condemn it and cast it into the makeup graveyard give a full review.

NOTD OPI Russian Navy

I decided to go with blue to celebrate the election. OPI’s Russian Navy is from the Fall/Winter 2007 Russian Collection.

Wait until you see this deep-sea indigo!

I bought it because I thought despite it saying navy on the bottle that it would actually be purple since that it what it looks like in the bottle. Yeah I know it looks blue in the pics but without flash it’s purple, I swear!!  So you can imagine my surprise when after the first application I saw blue. I was like WTH is this! I wasn’t fond of how it looked on me so off to the graveyard it went. Fast forward to now and I like it. What you see in the picture is a 3 coat application. I’m still searching for that perfect blue though…

NOTD Milani Ruby Jewels

If Dorothy’s ruby red slippers were a nail polish it would be Ruby Jewels. This is my color for Halloween and I love it! It’s a very pretty red and the glitter gives it just that little something extra. It looks so pretty in the sun! If you can’t find Ruby Jewels try Orly’s Red Carpet which is also a red with glitter. It’s just a tad bit brighter.

NOTD Milani Garnet Gems

This is a very pretty black with red glitter in it. It's would be a great Halloween color. It goes on very easy and 2 coats would be just fine. I prefer 3 coats so that is what you see in the pictures. Taking it off may be tricky. Since there is glitter in the polish the cotton ball tends to want to stick to the nail. Despite that it was really easy to come off and I used 4 cotton balls, 2 to take off the polish and 2 to clean up any residue.

NOTD 9/14 and Sally Hansen Update

Per a request from Miss Anjela here is the nail color I'm wearing for the next week or until it chips to embarrassing proportions.  OPI's Expresso Your Style!  It's a really pretty shimmery brown.

Update on Sally Hansen Diamond Shine Base & Top Coat

before

6 days later

Keep in mind I had cleaned my bathroom and kitchen (I can never remember to put gloves on while I'm cleaning) and washed my hair so I think after all that the chipping wasn't bad.

I've been wearing this top coat now for a month and I'm really happy with it.  I can go a week before I start to chip. When I do start to chip it's around the edges and not really noticeable unless you too far in my personal space.  It's a keeper!!
