Haiti

Disaster has struck my homeland and my heart is heavy. Haiti needs help. Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. The simplest thing you can do is pray. No matter what spiritual path you’re on please keep us in your thoughts.

Thanks,
Suzie

8 Years Down and a Lifetime to Go...

December 23, 2009 marked 8 years that I cut off my relaxer and decided to take a walk on the nappy side.  Best decision I ever made.  Check out this post for my hair story.

I blew my hair out to prep it for New Year's Eve.

Here's how I wore my hair to run some errands. A really simple style, 2 braids and a bun.

NY 2009

I hope everyone had a fabulous and wonderful New Year's! This look is basically a recreation of a look I wore to a wedding last year except I was using Ulta Minerals. I wasn't all that thrilled with the Ulta Minerals so I did a lot of layering of similar colors since we were running late and I did not feel like washing my face and starting over.  Hence the 1000 many shadows.

I also did my friends eyes.  She did her own face and used her own mascara and liner.
